I completed master’s in counselling psychology from Yorkville University and I am registered (qualifying) and in good standing with the CRPO as well as CCPA. I also have a background as a physician and have worked as a medical doctor in the Middle East for more than 20 years.
I am able to provide therapy in both English and Arabic. I work with individuals, families and couples. I work with many different mental health situations such as depression, anxiety, stress, marital problems, relationship conflicts, childhood trauma, PTSD and much more.
I primarily use trauma-based approaches that are emotionally focused to help you heal and make the changes you want. In addition, I use multimodal approach that incorporate many approaches tailored to the client such as, Psychodynamic approach, cognitive behavioural theory (CBT), Acceptance commitment therapy (ACT) and solution focused.
My safe, non-judgmental space is here to support you on your journey towards healing and a better quality of life. Being an immigrant Muslim woman who has lived in multiple multicultural countries, combined with my unique background as a doctor, this will greatly impact how I can support you.
